US-Venezuela tensions rise with a Venezuelan arms purchase deal

Since Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez came to power, the relationship between the United States and Venezuela has been waning. Recently, Venezuela made a deal with Russia to purchase arms and helicopters. This deal has been the target of United States criticism.
