Police Hostages

As I was looking for something to post this week, I was reminded of Patrick's presentation on Peru and of that article of police getting killed by some of the people that work for the drug cartel. I found another article about police violence. This article said that 30 police officials were taken hostage in Guatamala until a farm leader, Ramiro Choc who was held on charges of illegal land invasion, robbery and holding people against their will. Though Cnn.com has little to say on the story it is an interesting one to explore since it is odd that a farm leader would obtain such public support. For more information go to :
