Colombian hostages
Ingrid Betancourt, a former Presidential candidate in Colombia, has been held hostage by the FARC guerilla organization for the last five years. FARC officials say they are willing to strike a deal, however the government of Colombia says the only solution is a military rescue of Betancourt and about 60 other hostages held with her.
