The Galapagos Islands, part of Ecuadorian territory, are one of the most beautiful places in the world due to its great diveristy in flora and fauna. This is why Darwin performed one of his most important studies on natural selection on these islands and afterwards published his book "The Origin of the Species by Natural Selection".
